CBG oil effects

CBG – or so called Cannabigerol is one of the 100 cannabinoids that can be found in hemp plant. CBG is the essential part of many hemp compounds, including THC and CBD – so called “stem cell”.
CBG – what it actually is?
CBG is a non-psychoactive substance, which means that it doesn’t have psychoactive effects. However, CBG can help balancing the THC effects and other cannabinoids with support of synergy. CBG can also directly influence human body in other ways. Generally said, cannabinoids work due to the interaction with cannabinoid receptors, that can be found in the whole human body. CBG influences the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, but the effect is much weaker, compared to THC.
CBG can also influence human body by increasing the levels of anandamide. Anandamide is a natural cannabinoid, that helps to regulate many biological functions, including improving appetite, sleep and memory. Considering that CBG can have an effect on the central nerve system without psychoactive effect, the interest in medical use of CBG and its potential benefits is increasingly growing.
CBG effect – it is still evolving
CBG and its effects are still subjects of research, so far it seems that CBG can be beneficial in:
1. Support of bone growth and evolving of new bones
It stimulates growth of new bones and bone healing. In the study from 2007 the effects of CBG and other cannabinoids on a culture of bone marrow were examined. The results show that CBG and other cannabinoids can help with healing bone fractures.
2. Anti-fungal and antibacterial treatment
It has been proven in the study from 2008 that CBG is very effective against MRSA. MRSA (Staphylococcus aureus, resistant to methicilin) is a widely spread strain of antibiotic resistant bacteria.
3. Soothing pain
It is known that CBG and other cannabinoids have analgesic effects in various conditions including pain caused by multiple sclerosis and cancer.
4. Decreasing of inflammation
Cannabinoids, like CBG, have an ability to decrease inflammation by targeting specific molecules, responsible for inflammations caused by various diseases, including algic syndromes, cancer and inflammatory disease of intestines.
Hemp and cannabinoid substances were used for treating various dysfunctions of the urinary bladder.
5. Psoriasis and skin care
CBG a and other cannabinoids can be useful in the treatment of various skin diseases due to the presence of cannabinoid receptors in the skin.
6. Treatment of glaucoma
In the study from 1990 the THC and CBG treatment increased the flow of liquid two or three times in the animal models of glaucoma. The increased flow of liquid can contribute to decreasing of intraocular pressure in case of glaucoma.
7. Depression and anxiety treatment
It is well known that THC can help patients suffering with depression and anxiety. It has been found that CBG has similar affects, but without feeling of intoxication like THC does.
